It has been a very busy start to the new term with lots of varied events. I was overwhelmed by the impact of our health and well-being event. I would like to thank all of our community partners who supported the event either in person and/or by providing prizes for the raffle. Feedback from parents was extremely positive and I know many of them came away with many practical ideas such as the types of foods they could use in a healthy packed lunch as well as how to keep their child safe on the internet to name but two. I hope those of you who visited the Pure Gym stand have made use of your free gym passes!
The children in Class 1 were absolute stars in their learning assembly. I was impressed by their Talk 4 Learning story telling and look forward to seeing how this impacts on their writing. Well done Class 1.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Y6 performances of the Tempest and Macbeth on Monday. The children performed at the Contact Theatre back in November with this performance in school for those parents who were unable to make the performance in Manchester. Although a few months have passed since the original performance, the children did themselves and the school proud.
Our Y2 SATs meeting was attended by about 50% of parents. If you were unable to attend one of the sessions, please let a member of staff know and they will be happy to talk you through the information. Don’t forget that we have the Y6 SATs meeting this Wednesday at 3.30pm.
